Entry-level High-Fidelity
MD players have seen the largest growth in the portable audio market in Japan. In addition to the demand for long battery life, high-quality sound, and compact size, there is also an increasing expectation for diverse and personalized designs. This time, the official release of SJ-MJ19 is targeted at customers aged 10-20, offering high-quality and lightweight features.
The new "D-Sound" concept consists of three functions: a high-quality digital amplifier, high-quality headphones, and new EQ sound effects, creating a more rich and high-quality MD style.
The SJ-MJ19 offers up to 198 hours of battery life (LP4) and can be extended up to a maximum of 220 hours with the Eco mode. Despite being an entry-level model, Panasonic has incorporated some cutting-edge technology into the device, resulting in a slim thickness of 12.9mm (16% thinner than previous models) and a featherweight of 60g (body weight reduced by 13%).
The device features a special stereo super mini headphone jack with a slightly smaller diameter, which unfortunately requires the use of wired controls (standard headphone jack) for headphone operation. The charging dock is equipped with a single silver color that corresponds to all color schemes, and the conservative design makes the overall appearance somewhat ordinary.
The new remote controller cross-shaped and operate basic functions with five directional buttons, but the overall design appears to be more refined.
The official also launched the RP-HZ46 ear-hook headphones designed specifically for the MJ19.
