MD-DR77搭載的Mobile 1-Bit數位擴大器，以數位資訊最小單位的1Bit作基礎，藉此追求時間軸的極限獲得最接近原音的技術理念，同時擁有優秀的動態及減少量子化雜訊。此外繼承了Hi-Fi音響理念的全橋驅動(Full Bridge output)，+ / -極的獨立輸出更進一步減少電壓與雜訊失真。而最終輸出端以劃時代的LR聲道獨立的"4極耳機接頭"，打造優異的定位與臨場感的純粹音質~

採用單封裝的省電LSI，電池併用時最大放135 / 錄57小時續航(LP4)。可能作為高音的Pure Recorder的產品定位，並不支援Net MD(相對價格也親民了些)，可讓用家針對高音0~+3 / 低音-2~+2調整，也提供貼心的-30% ~ +15% 6段式的速度調整，不過在Player上常見的音場效果賣點則從缺~

整體變化有限的新型背光線控，方正端莊的形體並將按鍵配置於側面，視覺及質感都更為簡潔。 只是多才多藝的實力派內在，卻少了讓人一見鍾情的偶像派外表，框中框的液晶螢幕，讓視覺上顯得笨重，主功能鍵規劃排列上更是顯得質廉價俗的平庸感。得力於高質感的細緻髮絲亮面加工挽回了外型上的劣勢。 多年來努力開創Recorder各種可能性並走出自己一片天的Sharp，於DR77畫下了Recorder發展的句點...

The MD-DR77 is equipped with the Mobile 1-Bit Digital Amplifier. This technology is based on the minimal unit of digital information (1 Bit), pursuing the ultimate precision on the time axis to achieve a sound closest to the original source. It also boasts excellent dynamics and reduced quantization noise. Furthermore, inheriting the full bridge output from Hi-Fi audio principles, the independent positive (+) and negative (–) pole output further reduces voltage and noise distortion. The final output stage uses the epoch-making "4-Pole Headphone Jack" with independent L/R channels, creating pure sound quality with superior localization and sense of presence.

It utilizes a single-package, power-saving LSI, achieving a maximum playback time of 135hrs and a maximum recording time of 57hrs when using combined batteries (LP4). Possibly due to its product positioning as a high-quality "Pure Recorder," it does not support Net MD (which also makes the relative price more affordable). It allows users to adjust the treble 0 ~ +3 / bass 2 ~ +2, and also offers a thoughtful 6 steps speed adjustment -30% ~ +15%. However, the sound field effects often seen as a key selling point on players are regrettably absent.

The new backlit controller shows limited overall change. Its square, dignified form places the buttons on the side, making the visual appearance and texture more minimalist. However, despite its talented, powerful internal hardware, it lacks the captivating appearance of an "Idol-like" device. The framed LCD screen makes the visual impression seem clumsy, and the layout of the main function buttons appears cheap, common, and mediocre. The highly textured, finely brushed, glossy finish manages to somewhat salvage the aesthetic disadvantages. After years of hard work creating various possibilities for recorders and carving out its own niche, Sharp drew the final curtain on its recorder development with the DR77.
