Two-tone Dual Face
ST500, with its official design concept centered around circular design and candy-themed aesthetics, features a laser color aluminum metal front embedded with vibrant patterns, creating a focal point. The semi-transparent material on the back of the device offers a vivid contrast of colors, and even the charging dock follows the same design philosophy, achieving a harmonious dual-color, dual-expression visual and tactile experience.
In terms of audio quality, the device adopts the +/- power audio circuit commonly used in audio systems, replacing capacitors that could impact sound quality. However, it's regrettable that digital amplifiers were not utilized, and the soundstage effect is limited to a modest 3-stage X-Bass.
Another standout feature from Sharp is the LED status indicator located on the side of the device. It blinks to display playback mode and charging status, simplifying information comprehension in an intuitive manner.
With a slim profile of 14.6mm, the device is easily portable in pockets, and the clean design of the backlit control buttons adds to its overall appeal.
The battery provides a maximum of 55 hours of usage, and when combined with the LP4 mode, it can reach a maximum of 155 hours of acceptable yet slightly disappointing battery life – a specification aligned with its entry-level positioning.
