"MD Jacket Size"，指的是空白MD碟片套匣的尺寸，MD之父的Sony將其定義為 w72 x h8 x d80mm，由於只比MD碟片多出數mm，自MD問世以來就像是上帝般的存在：只能言傳，無法見識~

不過以小型技術見長的Panasonic顯然不這麼認為，久違兩年後鎮重霸氣的大作以逆天黑科技實力讓夢想成真~SJ-MJ5、SJ-MJ7在標準尺寸下的72 x 80mm，不多不少成為MD初　MD Jacket Size機型，Panasonic並為此自創了"Just MD Jacket Size"名詞。而厚度雖談不上極纖薄的16.9mm不過在口袋機身尺寸上卻仍是年度王者。

銀白機身上畫龍點眼意象的小巧視窗隨著光碟放入映射出碟片色彩，採用比鋁硬度高出2.4倍的鎂合金(可能僅上蓋)，帶來更上一層的使用性及質感。

The silver-white body features a small window that reflects the disc's color when inserted, crafted from magnesium alloy with a hardness 2.4 times greater than aluminum (likely only on the cover), enhancing usability and tactile feel.
