造型中規中矩又中庸的MZ-E25，像是光碟意象的圓形突起與左右平衡的配置人安定厚實穩重感，或許為了跳脫四平八穩的保守乏味，色系上除了大眾的Sliver、Blue，有著亮麗得被網友喻為"淫蕩"的Orange~

Sony獨步各家的省電技術，僅需AA x1或1.5V的口香糖電池即可驅動，僅AA也擁有6小時的不俗續航~更棒的是大加分的兼容電池機身，機身可直接收納充電池或AA 無須額外攜帶佔位的外接電池盒，不過很遺憾地充電池和充電器為選購。

沒有新潮吸睛的設計，也沒有輕巧纖薄等技術面加持，在大多MD粉絲中並沒有受到太多關注。不過新登場的線控誕生卻將其推上了歷史的舞台。革命性的Stick Controller顛覆了過往的線控概念，長筒狀造型並於前端配置轉軸，僅需以正 / 逆轉動操控。直觀、效率又新奇的操控體感，開拓確立了嶄新的設計經典，也深遠地影響了日後的線控設計走向。Sony也藉由本次革新將線控端與耳機接頭由過往的特規Micro Plug改成通規3.5mm，讓用家能任意搭配耳機使用。

Sony leads with its energy-saving technology, requiring just AAx 1 or 1.5V gum battery to operate, boasting an impressive play 6 hrs on a  AAx 1. Additionally, the device supports compatibility with rechargeable batteries, allowing direct integration without the need for bulky external battery packs, although rechargeable batteries and chargers are sold separately.

Lacking trendy and eye-catching designs or the advancements in lightweight and compact technologies, the E25 didn't attract much attention among most MD enthusiasts. However, the introduction of its innovative remote control system elevated it onto the stage of history. The revolutionary Stick Controller overturned traditional remote control concepts with its elongated shape and pivot at the front, enabling intuitive control with simple clockwise or counterclockwise rotations. This intuitive, efficient, and novel control experience established a new design classic and profoundly influenced the future direction of remote control designs. Sony also revamped the remote control end and headphone jack from the previous proprietary Micro Plug to the standard 3.5mm, allowing users to freely use various eardphones.
