新型新色新氣象　Slot In大革命

Sharp新聞稿指出，'97年MD全系列產品需求比起去年+474萬台，其中隨身聽占比多達約50% 237萬台的推估。本次系列產品除了小型輕量化，在操作性與設計更上一層，徹底發揮MD獨有的攜便性魅力。

本次主要以急增的青少年族群需求，造型由過往的洗練簡約轉向流行動感的設計語言，配色也更為鮮明活潑，在外出時享受流行數位高音質。

年輕族群喜歡擁有手錶、帽子和眼鏡框等多樣化喜好和需求，Sharp打造出依場合及個人流行的速配產品。

MD-SS302為喜好休閒感的用戶的個性提案，設計上展現出耐用性、戶外運動相匹配的設計品味。大圓形視覺焦點與粗框黑邊框似乎是想走Kenwood的異型潮流風，但有些跳不出自家的框架而拐了個彎~

不僅外在一氣更新，內裡也更為大步邁進：

• 比起以往纖薄25%的主軸馬達
• 比起以往纖薄6%的光學頭
• 新研發的1 chip LSI / IC
• 由圓筒狀變更為方形鋰電池
• 比起MD-SS70縮小55%基板面積

由裡至外徹底翻新，讓SS302在擁有直覺滑順的Slot In入退 / 碟亮點的同時，還更進一步由以往碩大的長方形變身為口袋尺寸的小巧機身。

隨著機身一起革新的新型液晶線控，搭載MD初　背光照明，無論外出或暗處等各場合都點出炫目美麗的科技意象。

音訊的壓縮 / 解碼採用了第5世代的ATRAC 24Bit，獲得清晰、具延伸感並提升微信號的再現性，享受寬廣動態的高音質~

充電池擁有6小時續航但充電時間卻頗為攏長的3小時，AA x1則有4小時電力。

By Sharp's press release in '97, the demand for their entire MD product line increased by 4.74 million units compared to the previous year, with portable estimated to account for about 50%, totaling 2.37 million units. This series of products not only became smaller and lighter, but also enhanced operability and design, fully embracing the unique portability charm of MD.

The design has shifted from the previous refined simplicity to a trendy and dynamic aesthetic, catering primarily to the rapidly growing demand among teenagers. The color schemes are vibrant and lively, perfect for enjoying high-quality digital sound on the go.

Younger consumers with diverse preferences and needs, such as watches, hats, and eyeglass frames, inspired Sharp to create products that match different occasions and personal styles.

The MD-SS302 proposes a personality for users who prefer a leisurely feel, showcasing a design that emphasizes durability and matches outdoor activities. The large circular focal point and thick black border seem to follow Kenwood's avant-garde trend of unconventional styles, but unable to break free from its own design framework.

Not only has the exterior been completely refreshed, but internal advancements are also notable：

• A spindle motor that is 25% thinner than before
• An optical head that is 6% thinner than before
• A newly developed 1 chip LSI / IC
• A change from cylindrical to square lithium-ion battery
• A 55% reduction in board area compared to the MD-SS70

From inside out, the SS302 has been thoroughly revamped, featuring intuitive Slot In disc loading/unloading and standout disc visibility, while transforming from the bulky rectangular shape to a pocket-sized compact body.

Accompanying the body's innovation is a new LCD remote control, equipped with MD's first backlight illumination, enhancing its stunning technological image in various settings, whether outdoors or in low light conditions.

Audio compression/decoding utilizes the 5th generation ATRAC 24Bit, ensuring clear, expansive sound reproduction with improved fidelity, delivering high-quality audio with broad dynamic range.

The rechargeable battery provides up to play 6 hrs, but charging time is relatively long at 3hrs, while a single AA x1 offers 4hrs power.
