DMC-G3，以白黑色為對立、直曲線為對比形塑出官方宣稱的具速度感的圓形設計。大面的銀白金屬機面上蜿蜒出速度意象線條，搭上獨家的Kenwood Logo作為設計的既大膽又巧妙的一體式形色語言。電池艙刻意採用對比的黑色系型塑動感前衛的流行存在。

支援4向供電(充電池、家用DC、外接電池盒、車用電源)，電池艙為充電池收納處並有著年度最長9.5小時續航，形色上雖看似兼容電池機身但僅限充電池，且對MD來說不可或缺的外接電池盒(BC-45 ¥2,300)卻為選購品的策略實在讓人費解

頗具電子錶造型意象的背光液晶線控，以極罕見的鋁金屬+塑料複合運用型塑出前衛動感的Kenwood"潮味"。官方定義為Key Station的易用性，小巧的螢幕中仍可最大6文字顯示，光碟狀態、音量、電量資訊等一目了然，並配備了Shift操作鍵以滑動對應複數功能，讓整體使用性更為行雲流水~讓G3無論裡外展現出無懈可擊的帥氣~

不過防震記憶卻是讓人遺憾的短短10秒鐘。

The DMC-G3, with its contrasting black and white colors and interplay of straight and curved lines, embodies the official claim of a design that conveys a sense of speed. The expansive silver-white metallic surface features speed-implying lines and is boldly and cleverly integrated with the distinctive Kenwood logo, creating a cohesive design language. The battery compartment, intentionally using contrasting black tones, shapes a dynamic and avant-garde presence.

The device supports 4 power sources (rechargeable battery, DC power, external battery, car power). The battery compartment, which stores the rechargeable battery, offers the longest battery life of the year at 9.5hrs. Although the design appears compatible with a battery-integrated body, it only supports rechargeable batteries. Strangely, the essential external battery pack for MD (BC-45, ¥2,300) is an optional purchase, a strategy that leaves users puzzled.

The backlit LCD remote control, reminiscent of a digital watch, uniquely combines aluminum metal and plastic to shape Kenwood's "trendy" style. Defined by the brand as a Key Station for its ease of use, the small screen can still display up to six characters, providing clear information on disc status, volume, and battery level. Equipped with a Shift key for sliding to access multiple functions, it ensures seamless usability, making the G3 impeccably stylish inside and out.

However, the anti-shock memory is disappointingly short at only 10 secs.
