很訝異Goldstar(現今的LG集團)在初期已是相當鎖國的MD聯盟成員之一，不過也正因當年全球家電都還是日本廠商的天下，勇於選擇韓系品牌的買家可說是鳳毛麟角，而Goldstar也非常短命地"似乎"只出了2台MD就Sayonara~

MD-R2是MD史上的X檔案，是否僅停留於開發階段的試作機，或實際發售一直是個謎~~網路上除了Minidisc.com僅有一張小圖外，其他資訊一概"四大皆空"

It's quite surprising that Goldstar (now part of the LG Group) was an early member of the MD alliance, considering they were a rather closed-off Korean brand during that period. In a world where Japanese manufacturers dominated the global electronics market, choosing a Korean brand was a rarity. However, Goldstar's foray into the MD world was short-lived, with only two MD models released before saying "Sayonara".

The MD-R2 remains an enigma in MD history, as it's unclear whether it was just a prototype in the development stage or if it was ever actually released. Apart from a single small image found on Minidisc.com, there is a complete lack of information regarding this mysterious MD player.
