Overseas Debut MD Walkman
The MZ-E40 is Sony's first model developed for the overseas market and was not sold in Japan.
Common features of a portable MD player, such as a full set of accessories and a slim and lightweight body, are conspicuously absent. The straightforward and solid design creates an intuitively user-friendly first impression.
As an entry-level model entering the world of MD, the accessories include headphones and a charging/power supply. The bold design of placing the LCD screen on the side for the first time provides convenient information confirmation during outdoor use. The commonly used buttons are also conveniently located on the side, addressing the inconvenience of wireless control.
The body is designed to accommodate batteries directly, allowing for the inclusion of the provided rechargeable battery or AA x2, or the optional BP-DM20 rechargeable battery. This offers a high degree of flexibility in usage without being limited by battery specifications. However, the overall weight of 300g with batteries may lack persuasiveness, but for tall and robust consumers in Europe and America, the play 4hr battery life might be a more significant drawback...
